The Nevada Faculty Alliance (NFA), an affiliate of the American Association of University Professors, was founded in 1984 as an advocacy organization committed to promoting access to higher education for the citizens of Nevada. The NFA is also the collective bargaining representative for the faculty at Truckee Meadows Community College.

Our members are professors, lecturers, adjunct and contingent faculty, librarians, counselors, professional staff, administrative staff, emeritus faculty and community allies united by promoting opportunities for higher education in Nevada.

Representing all eight institutions in the Nevada System of Higher Education, the NFA advocates on behalf of faculty and professional staff, both NFA members and non-members, and on behalf of  more than 100,000 students who call Nevada home.
